A personal God - sounds like a good deal. My own deity to look out for me, watch over me, give me what I want?
As appealing as that may be it is not what "Personal God" means.
Our God is a Person, the living and true Divine Being. He alone is God, and there is no other. He is not a lifeforce, divine spark, or spiritual energy. Although He is not a being like us, He is alive as a person.
